Stunning sapphires for September senoritas!

Stunning sapphires for September senoritas!

The September birthstone, sapphire, has long been associated with wisdom, loyalty and truth.

For centuries, sapphires were treasured by royalty and religious leaders who believed the gemstone offered protection, good fortune and spiritual insight. In ancient Greece and Rome, people wore sapphires to guard against harm and attract wisdom.

The sapphire's rich blue colour reflects the beauty of clear skies and deep oceans.

Where is the September birthstone found?

Sapphires are found in several countries around the world, including Sri Lanka, Madagascar, Australia and Myanmar.

Some of the finest sapphires come from Sri Lanka, where they have been mined for over 2,000 years. Sri Lankan sapphires are admired for their beautiful colour and exceptional clarity.

Sapphires belong to the corundum mineral family, the same family as rubies. While blue is the most well known sapphire colour, sapphires can also be found in pink, yellow, green and even white shades.

Sapphires are one of the hardest natural gemstones, making them an excellent choice for jewellery designed to be treasured for years to come.
